The Senior Analyst, Performance Excellence, will own the reporting of key performance metrics aimed at tracking and communicating program benefit by validating data and testing assumptions. The position will work closely with the Manager of Performance Excellence and various business leaders to help create value at CDW. This role will also assist in creating business cases and support project road maps reviewed by senior leadership.
Performance Excellence is a strategic group within CDW focused on driving change to reinvent the way of doing business by creating investment capacity that enables reinvestment back into our business. This group supports various business stakeholders to accelerate growth and deliver on a portfolio of opportunities and projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Performhigh-level analysis aimed at categorizing the potential benefit/value for multipleproject ideas aimed at enhancing CDW’s bottom line
Create monthlybusiness review for Executive Committee to highlight and communicate the PerformanceExcellence initiative’s progress against its goals
Assistwith business cases by working with various business leaders turningideation into realization through data and modeling
Buildsuccessful partnerships with business stakeholders giving recommendationsbased on analytical results
Supportthe development of a project road map by prioritizing initiatives and captureresults based on timeline
Work closely withFinancial Planning to connect the annual planning process and forecasting withthe predicted impact of Performance Excellence objectives
Evaluateways to improve processes to streamline data delivery
Gatherand validate assumptions through data to ensure benefit can be realized
FinancialModeling and Analysis Specific:
Performsmonthly tracking and analysis of cross functional initiative’s financialperformance to measure expense and savings of all lines on profit andloss statement (P&L). This includes working with initiative owners andexecutive leadership to assist them in understanding results
Utilizescomplex financial models to provide insight on performance targets,future net benefits, and return on investment (ROI)
Automatesand improves consolidated financial results by applying best practices
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
3years previous finance experience.
2years CDW finance experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Strongverbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectivelyinteract with internal and external stakeholders
Capableof taking granular level detail and communicating information at a highlevel
Demonstratedstrong knowledge of finance concepts, principles and practices, and theability to apply them
Abilityto manage competing priorities demonstrating adaptability in meetingprioritized deadlines
Proficientin Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel
Demonstratedability to effectively present data to stakeholders for full scenariounderstanding
Trackrecord of identifying process improvements and making appropriaterecommendations
Strongnegotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
4years of previous financial experience
Goodknowledge of financial software tools such as PeopleSoft, Essbase, andHyperion
Workingknowledge of SQL
