CDW Sales Analyst in Lincolnshire, Illinois


The Sales Analyst role analyzes and manages the internal book building and optimization processes. This role will work closely with the Sales Management Team including Senior Sales Leaders to interpret the performance of books by seller and segment (business area, customer type, brand level, etc.) and provides recommendations on areas of opportunity. This role focuses on providing rich and actionable insights by using data to increase productivity and effectiveness of the Sales Organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Implementand manage the book building and book optimization processes by workingwith Sales Leaders

  • Completedata analysis requests around the performance of books built by theseprocesses to determine their relative strength against those of peersellers

  • Summarizeanalysis learnings, package, and present insights to share with SalesManagers, Directors and VPs

  • Workcross-functionally on larger account movement initiatives

  • Reportdata using Cognos, Excel and Pyramid in an Enterprise Data Warehouseenvironment

  • Workclosely with key Sales Leaders on a regular basis for business monitoringin addition to helping to advise on strategic issues

  • Assessvarious sales strategies throughout the year

Other Responsibilities

  • Evaluateways to improve processes to streamline data delivery

  • Serveas a consultant to the business, providing guidance around CDW’s salesdata and Enterprise Data Warehouse

  • Performusage analysis of our BI software and provide key findings to directorsand VPs


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math or Equivalent

  • 3+ years analyst experience with sales analysis or support, financial analysis, econometrics, or statistics

  • Expert-level Excel skills (will be tested)

  • Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze large volumes of raw data, draw conclusions, and develops actionable recommendations.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • History of balancing multiple time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to directors and VPs

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cognos, ProClarity , or other analytical or business intelligence tool experience

  • SQL Server Management experience

  • Data warehouse experience

  • Project management experience
