CDW Manager, Technology Solutions in Lincolnshire, Illinois
The Manager, Technology Solutions is responsible for leading a team of Solutions Specialists and/or Solutions Advisors to effectively support and accelerate the growth of our Small Business unit. The individual is responsible for being knowledgeable in advising on strategic solutions and providing overall management of the solutions and services business through standard operating procedures, standardized reporting, and solutions analysis. This person will work in tandem with Sales and Technology Solutions leadership and implement processes to ensure that we are continually focusing and aligning our resources to win our targeted sales opportunities. The individual in this role is ultimately accountable for individual and team productivity, and serves as a leader within the Small Business - Technology Solutions organization.
- Key Areas of Responsibility*
_ Sales Support_
Deliver required solutions revenue, gross profit and growth metrics.
Define and deliver the strategic solutions and services assets to the business.
Define, develop and oversee the execution of regular technical training and readiness activities for the Solutions Specialists / Solutions Advisors team.
Define, develop and oversee the consistent creation of offering assets used by the Small Business sellers.
Alignment with strategic objectives of the Small Business organization.
_ Strategic Management_
Collaborate with Solutions Specialists / Solutions Advisors to build account development plans and strategies.
Develop and manage annual hiring forecasts, sales projections, and pipeline management.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to optimize new potential solutions business.
Assist sales team in building development and penetration strategies for their accounts within solutions.
Partner with S3 and PPM leadership teams.
_ Sales Management_
Monitor and measure performance of Solutions Specialists / Solutions Advisors team.
Travel in-district to visit customers and participate within partner events in market up to 25%.
Create team oriented sales environment that rewards success and supports continuous improvement.
Effectively communicate up, down and through the organization as required.
Coach sales team to manage their individual business portfolios effectively and profitably.
_ Coworker Development_
Elevate the technical presales capabilities and expertise level of the team.
As a member of the management team, contribute to the strategy and overall management of the Technology Solutions business.
Create and review monthly performance plans with team members using measurable criteria and input from relevant sources including peers, clients and vendors.
_ Customer/Partner Management_
- Manage team to ensure a superior customer experience for each customer.
Actively engage and participate in customer and partner facing activities/meetings.
Proactively build solid business relationships with strategic customers and partners.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Applicants in S3 or Sales Role:
o Successful acceptance into Sales Leadership Academy.
o Successful Sales or Strategic Solutions track record.
- Applicant in Non-Sales Role:
o Minimum 3 years management experience with direct reports and 2 years with a successful track record in sales and/or S3.

Must be able to travel to customer meetings, events and/or other CDW location.
- Current CDW S3 or Sales Management experience.
