Job Description

This position is part of CDW's Cisco Practice, a single-source provider to our clients for all things Cisco. We have more than 125 Cisco Certified Engineers on staff, including engineers for network infrastructure, unified communications, contact center, unified communications application development, security, storage and wireless. With more than seven years of Voice over IP experience, CDW has completed more than 2,000 Cisco IP Communication projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support of Cisco UC related opportunities across to CDW’s Field Solution Architects, Inside Solution Architects and

  • Partner Specialists.in all geographies and within all segments of our business.

  • Understand client's infrastructures; compare and contrast this infrastructure to the Cisco UC solution.

  • Provide internal assistance on the Cisco product plans; communicate these plans to other staff.

  • Make telephone calls to clients and potential clients.

  • Create and deliver polished proposals and client deliverables via WebEx and video.

  • Coordinate hardware and software quotations with Cisco Sales Teams.

  • Provide timely and accurate work estimates for clients.

  • Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.

  • Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.

  • Conduct training for FSA’s on offers and programs from vendor partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other CDW departments on the execution of specialist related orders and sales incentives

  • Provide feedback to Product & Partner Management groups concerning trends and opportunities

  • Work with Public Relations as a subject matter expert

  • 75% Sales activities via conference calls, email, and video conferences

  • 20% Training – technology and personal development

  • 5% Team development and miscellaneous tasks

  • Qualifications*

Minimum Qualifications

  • Consulting or Pre-Sales experience.

  • Two to three years of Cisco UC solution experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of Cisco UC products and understanding of infrastructure.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
